Does Loomly integrate with Google Drive?

Learn how to upload digital media assets to Loomly directly from Google Drive.

Updated over a week ago

We have an integration with Google Drive, allowing you to import media files directly from your Google Drive folders to either Post Builder or Loomly Content Library!

If you use Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or any other design tools, you can save your files from those platforms to Google Drive, then conveniently upload them to Loomly in batches using our integration.

📝 Note: Google requires account authentication every hour. If you're already logged into your Google account, this should only take a click!

Importing from Google Drive to the Content Library

In Content Library, you can import up to 10 videos or 40 images from Google Drive at once. This is a great way for you to batch content externally, then upload to Loomly prior to scheduling.

To upload to your Library from Google Drive, click the "+" icon, then click Google Drive. Simply login to your Google account, and then you'll be able to select media to import from your Google Drive folders.

📝 Note: Content Library imports from Google Drive are limited to 40 images and 10 videos at a time

Importing from Google Drive to Post Builder

From Post Builder, you can import 1 video or up to 10 images at a time from Google Drive. To upload your media, click the Google Drive icon in either the Define Generic Content or Fine-Tuning sections:

Then, select photo or video, select your Google account, then choose your media to upload:

In the fine-tuning panels, you can select each social media channel in turn and then attach the associated creative assets from Google Drive. This is an ideal workflow when you need different aspect ratios if you're cross-posting to different platforms.

Plus, you can quickly crop images to fit channel specifications using Loomly Studio.

📝 Note: Post Builder uploads from Google Drive are limited to 10 images and 1 video at a time

Troubleshooting

Company settings may prevent the addition of third-party apps without explicitly allowing them. When this occurs, you might get the following error: This app is blocked.

How to fix it?

Note: Only the Administrator of your Google Workspace account will be able to proceed with the steps below.

  1. You'll need to add Loomly in your list of trusted apps by clicking on "Configure new app" and select "OAuth App Name Or Client ID".

2. Then, use the following Client ID for our app: and click on "Search".

3. Select the option "Trusted: can access all Google services" and click on "Configure".

4. Go back to your Google account and refresh the page. You should be able to add your Google drive account to Loomly now.
