Learn about how to schedule content to Threads using Loomly.

In this article, you'll learn:


1. How to connect your Threads account

To connect your Threads account to Loomly:

  • Open threads.net as a tab in your browser, log into the Threads account you want to connect to Loomly, and then head to Loomly to connect the channel

  • Go to the Social Accounts tab of your Calendar Settings page and connect your Threads account by clicking on the green Connect button next to Threads:

  • Grant Loomly all permissions by pressing the blue Continue As button

  • You can view the connected account once you're done:


2. Threads supported media types and size limits

📝 Note:

  • You can upload additional videos in the Fine-Tuning Content step for Threads

  • You can view the dimensions and size of the media you've uploaded to the Library

  • You can crop your images and videos with Loomly Studio

3. Threads features

A. Post types

You can schedule the following types of content to Threads:

  • Text only

  • Link previews

  • Single image or video posts

  • Carousel posts with a 10 media file maximum composed of photos and/or videos

    • Please note that you can add additional videos to your post in the Fine-Tuning Content step for Threads

B. Publishing features

Hashtags

By adding a hashtag to your post, you allow others on Threads to easily find your post as well as related posts about that topic.

  • You can add up to one hashtag per post

  • Start by typing # and end with a space

Mentions

If you know the exact handle of the user you want to tag, you can @mention them in the copy of your post. We currently do not support suggestions due to API limitations.
