HeyReach runs on your own HeyReach account. You connect it once, then you can import a HeyReach list from Home or add HeyReach actions to a table. This article covers what each screen shows.

How do I connect HeyReach?

  1. Open Settings, then Connections.

  2. Click Create.

  3. In the Connect an account window, search for HeyReach and click it.

  4. In Add HeyReach key, enter your HeyReach API Key and a Connection Name. The key field shows hr_... as a hint, and there are Get API Key and Documentation links.

  5. Click Save.

The Add HeyReach key dialog with an empty HeyReach API Key field showing the hint hr_..., links Get API Key and Documentation, a Connection Name field set to HeyReach Account, and Cancel and Save buttons.

The form says: "Keys are encrypted before leaving your browser and stored securely for this workspace." A HeyReach connection you added shows in the list with Account type User-added and Status Connected.

How do I start a HeyReach import?

  1. Go to Home and click HeyReach Import.

  2. The window "Import from HeyReach" says: "Bring the leads in one of your HeyReach lists into a table."

  3. It has three steps: Account, List and Fields.

The Import from HeyReach dialog with the steps Account, List and Fields. Step 1 shows Connect HeyReach: Paste your HeyReach API key to see your lead lists here, and a Continue button.

If HeyReach is not connected, step 1 shows Connect HeyReach and says: "Paste your HeyReach API key to see your lead lists here." Once it is connected, step 1 lets you pick your HeyReach account, and step 2 shows a searchable list of your HeyReach lists with a lead count on each.

Which HeyReach actions can I add to a table?

  1. Click Add column, then Add enrichment, and open the Export tab.

  2. Under Outbound, open HeyReach. It shows "12 actions" and "runs on your HeyReach account".

The Export tab with HeyReach outlined in red and expanded. Under Push to HeyReach it lists Send Lead to HeyReach, Add Leads to Campaign, Stop Lead in Campaign, Add Lead to List, Remove Lead from List, Send Message, Update Lead Custom Fields and Add Tags. Look up in HeyReach starts with Get Lead.

Under Push to HeyReach: Send Lead to HeyReach, Add Leads to Campaign, Stop Lead in Campaign, Add Lead to List, Remove Lead from List, Send Message, Update Lead Custom Fields and Add Tags.

Under Look up in HeyReach: Get Lead, Get Campaigns for Lead, Get Conversation and Check Connection.

What does Add Leads to Campaign ask for?

The panel shows your account and the note "Runs on your own HeyReach key — nothing from your wallet." Then it asks for:

  • Campaign (required): a menu that says Select a campaign.

  • LinkedIn Account (optional).

  • First Name, Last Name and LinkedIn Profile URL (all required). Map each to a column in your table.

  • Custom Fields (optional).

Until the required inputs are filled in, the panel says: "Select a column for each of these before running: Campaign, First Name, Last Name, LinkedIn Profile URL."

What does Add Tags ask for?

The panel is called Add HeyReach Tags. It has LinkedIn Profile URL (optional), LinkedIn ID (optional) and Tags (required, comma-separated). The box Create tags that do not exist yet is ticked when you open it.

Troubleshooting

The panel says "Select a column for each of these before running: Campaign, First Name, Last Name, LinkedIn Profile URL"

Why it happens: A required input is still empty.

What to do: Pick your campaign from the Select a campaign menu. Then click each of First Name, Last Name and LinkedIn Profile URL, press /, and pick a column from the list. LinkedIn Account and Custom Fields are optional.

Good to know

  • If HeyReach is not connected, these panels show "Link your HeyReach account" and a Connect HeyReach button instead of your account.

  • Add Leads to Campaign needs a column mapped to each of First Name, Last Name and LinkedIn Profile URL.
