See where your spend goes on the Usage page

Use the Usage page to see spend over time and by table, for the current or earlier billing periods.

Written by Umer Ishaq

The Usage page shows what you have spent and where.

How do I open it?

Open Settings, then Usage. The page says "Monitor your usage and spend."

The Usage page of Settings. The Settings menu on the left lists Workspaces, AI context, Members, Connections, Loopster API, Plan and billing and Usage, with Usage highlighted. The page shows the title Usage, the line Monitor your usage and spend, a This billing period menu and a Day and Week switch with Day selected. The Usage item in the Settings menu is outlined in red.

What can I change?

  • Period: This billing period, Previous billing period, Last 3 billing periods or Last 6 billing periods.

  • Day or Week: how the chart groups the time.

Apart from the Tables list, these are the only controls. The page has no filter, search, sort, export or custom date range.

In Week view, a week starts on Monday, and the labels read like "Week of Oct 19". Previous billing period can show "No usage data available for this period".

What does it show?

  • Spend over time: a chart of spend across the period.

  • Tables: a list of the tables behind the spend.

What does a bar show when I hover over it?

In Day view, hover over a bar. The tip starts with "Period:" and a date, for example "Period: Oct 15". Under it is one line for each table that spent something, written like "<table name> : $…".

What happens when I click a table?

Click a table's name in Tables. The chart fades the other tables, and a panel opens under the list. The Open table icon on each row goes to the table itself.

The panel shows:

  • The table's name.

  • A headline such as "$… spent across N operations". A table with free items adds "(N free)" and has two buttons, Charged (N) and Free (N).

  • A split by billing type, such as Integration Column, AI Column and Google Maps.

  • A table with Timestamp, Details, Billing type and Amount.

What do the lines in the detail panel say?

There is one line for each charged cell, so one run makes many lines.

  • Details reads like "Normalize Company Name enrichment" or "Work email waterfall enrichment".

  • A waterfall can show "Reserved credits for managed <Provider> <action>" with an amount, then "Released managed-credit reservation for <Provider>" with a negative amount. Both lines count as operations.

  • Some waterfall lines read Free in the Amount column, with the caption "Answered from Loopster's own data".

Which number is which?

Spend shows in several places, and each one works a little differently:

  • Cell details: Amount Spent is for the latest run of that one cell. It is there as soon as the cell finishes.

  • The wallet button at the top right: it moves by whole cents. In our tests, it updated within seconds of a run finishing.

  • Usage history for one table, from its History menu: one line for each charged cell. A run is already listed by the time you open it, about 1 to 2 minutes later.

  • Spend over time on this page: the chart can take about 10 seconds to draw.

  • Funds usage & lookups on the Wallet tab: one row for each day, with that day's spend added up.

Good to know

  • For one table's own spend, open the table and choose History, then Usage history. It says "What this table spent, and on what."

  • The funds history on the Wallet tab lists your balance changes day by day.
