When someone joins Love to Ride, they fill out a short survey. Everyone is then designated as either a 'new rider,' 'occasional rider', or 'regular rider' based on the answers to the questions.

New riders are folks who've ridden only a few times or not at all in the last 12 months before registering. We like to be extra encouraging to new riders so that they become occasional and regular riders someday!

We love it when people sign up to Love to Ride, but a newcomer isn't the same as a new rider. If you've just signed up, you'll either be a new, occasional, or regular rider depending on how often you ride your bike. 🚲
