Written by Farah Bahoui

Introduction

In this article, we'll look at how you can connect your Trustpilot account to Loyoly so that your customers can earn points by leaving a product or merchant review.

You can choose to award points several times for this action or just once.

📝 Note: You must have a paid subscription with Trustpilot to add the integration.

How to connect Trustpilot to Loyoly

There are two steps to connecting to Trustpilot.

1. Log in to Trustpilot

  • Then go to: Integrations → Developers → API

  • From this tab, you can create a new application:

  • You will then have access to an API key and a secret key.

2. Log in to your Loyoly backoffice.

Then go to :

  • Settings → Integrations → Trustpilot

  • Copy and paste your two API keys

  • Click on Connect

To create Trustpilot missions, go to this guide: Create a product or merchant review

No paid Trustpilot subscription? Use the alternative mission

Situation: you want to reward customers who leave a review on Trustpilot, but you don't have a paid Trustpilot subscription — so the native integration cannot be connected.

Solution: the native integration requires a paid subscription because it relies on the Trustpilot API. Without a subscription, you have an alternative with the "Leave a review on the website" mission, which works for any review URL, including Trustpilot. The mission validation is not instant (up to 24 hours) because it goes through a Loyoly-side verification.

Steps to create the alternative mission:

  1. In Loyoly, go to Missions Create a mission.

  2. Select the "Leave a review on the website" mission type.

  3. At the "Link to the review writing page" step, paste the public URL of your Trustpilot page (e.g. https://www.trustpilot.com/evaluate/your-domain.com).

  4. Configure the reward (points, coupon, etc.) and the other settings.

  5. Publish the mission, then test it with a customer account.

💡 Callout info — Validation delay: the "Leave a review on the website" mission is checked by our algorithms. Allow a few hours before the points are credited to the customer (24 hours maximum).
