If you’re new to Openclaw or just need a quick refresher, this overview helps you understand where to find chat, control views, agent settings, and system information without digging through menus.

If you don’t see the left-side panel, click the hamburger menu (☰) to show it.

Chat

Selecting Chat from the left panel opens the main conversation area, where you can interact with the AI agent (or agents) you have installed.

Within the same interface, you can:

  • Switch between installed agents using the Agent dropdown menu.

  • Use Reload Chat to refresh the current chat session.

  • Use Toggle assistant thinking/working output to show or hide the assistant’s internal “thinking/working” output.

Control

The Control section contains operational views for monitoring and managing the gateway and its connected components.
