Having to Log In Every Time You Visit? Here's The Fix
If you're being asked to log in every time you visit our app, your browser might be blocking something called "local storage." Here's how to fix it.
Quick Check (30 seconds)
1. Open your regular browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari)
2. Right-click anywhere on the page
3. Click "Inspect" or "Inspect Element"
* Note for Safari users: First enable Developer Menu in Preferences > Advanced
4. In the developer window that opens, find Local Storage:
* Chrome/Edge: Click "Application" > "Local Storage"
* Firefox: Click "Storage" > "Local Storage"
* Safari: Click "Storage" > "Local Storage"
5. Look for "app.lumonic.com" in the list
* If it's missing: Your browser is blocking storage
* If it's present but empty: Your storage is being cleared
Fix Instructions By Browser
For Chrome Users
1. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right
2. Click Settings
3. Search for "storage" in the settings search bar
4. Make sure "Block third-party cookies" is turned OFF
5. Add app.lumonic.com to your allowed sites
For Edge Users
1. Click the three dots (...) in the top-right
2. Click Settings
3. Click "Privacy, search, and services"
4. Under "Security", turn OFF "Enhance your security"
5. Under "Site permissions" > "Storage", allow app.lumonic.com
For Firefox Users
1. Click the menu button (☰)
2. Click Settings
3. Search for "storage"
4. Under "Privacy & Security":
* Set "Enhanced Tracking Protection" to Standard
* Uncheck "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox closes"
For Safari Users
1. Click Safari > Preferences
2. Go to Privacy tab
3. Uncheck "Prevent cross-site tracking"
4. Under Website tracking, allow app.lumonic.com
Check Your Privacy Extensions
These common privacy extensions can cause login issues:
* DuckDuckGo Privacy
* Privacy Badger
* uBlock Origin
* AdBlock Plus
For any of these extensions:
1. Click the extension icon
2. Look for "pause" or "disable for this site"
3. Add app.lumonic.com to the allowed list
Still Not Working? Try Clearing Data
1. Open your browser settings
2. Find "Clear browsing data" or "Clear history"
3. Select ONLY:
* Site data
* Cached files
4. Click Clear
5. Close your browser completely
6. Reopen and try logging in again
Important Notes
* Using Private/Incognito mode? Switch to regular browsing mode
* Private/Incognito ALWAYS clears data when closed
* Keep your browser updated
* Check privacy extensions after browser updates
