Pitch Analysis is a powerful AI-driven feature within Ask Lumos designed to help game developers, publishers, and strategists evaluate game concepts with market-backed data. Whether you are refining your own pitch or evaluating a new opportunity, Lumos converts your documents into a structured, evidence-based assessment.
What Can Pitch Analysis Do?
When you upload a game pitch (PPT or PDF), Lumos analyzes the content against real-world market signals to provide:
A Detailed Snapshot: A clear summary of the game's genre, target platform, and Unique Selling Points (USP).
Market Context: Analysis grounded in comparable games, player demand, and current feature trends.
Risk & Strength Assessment: A breakdown of what looks promising and what might need further validation.
Target Audience Insights: Suggested player personas and high-level marketing angles.
Constructive Coaching: If your pitch is missing key information, Lumos provides specific suggestions on how to improve it.
Note: Uploaded files must contain text; the feature cannot analyze documents that consist entirely of images. Lumos will reject files that are in the wrong format or do not contain the type of content the analysis expects.
How to Use Pitch Analysis
Enter the Workflow: From within Lumos, select the "Analyze a pitch" entry point.
Upload Your Document: Upload your pitch as a PDF or slide deck (.pptx). For the best results, include details on your core loop, features, monetization, and target audience.
Review the Processing: Lumos will extract the text and run a market-informed analysis. You’ll see an "in-progress" state while the AI works.
Explore Your Results: Once complete, your analysis is organized into skimmable sections, including competitive landscapes and marketing suggestions.
Accessing Your Pitch History
All prior analyses are stored within your chat history. You can find and revisit your previous work at any time without needing to re-upload files. If you upload multiple versions of the same pitch, you can track improvements over time by checking the date and filename in your history.
Understanding the Results
Extracted vs. Inferred: To maintain transparency, Lumos clearly labels what information was found directly in your pitch versus what the AI inferred based on market data.
Actionable Insights: The goal is to provide a breakdown of risks and opportunities. Lumos provides the data to support your workflow, but it does not decide if a project is "good" or "bad."
Data Safety: Your pitch decks are sensitive. Lumos handles uploaded content appropriately for analysis while maintaining confidentiality.
Note: Pitch Analysis provides an evidence-backed assessment to support your workflow; it does not make automated "fund" or "don't fund" decisions.
