At Lunar, we offer you the option to link your accounts from other banks in your Lunar app. We do this so that you can have a complete overview of your finances in one place.
How to connect other banks:
Open your Lunar app and select the search function in the top left corner.
Click on Connect bank account.
Press β Add bank.
You can now scroll down to find the bank you want to add to the list, or use the search field at the top of the page to find your bank quickly. Click on your desired bank.
You now need to give consent for Lunar to process your information from the linked bank. Please read the text carefully and then press Accept to give your consent.
You will be directed to a page where you need to log in with MitID to connect to the other bank.
You now need to choose which accounts you wish to link and display in the Lunar app. You can always change this later. Once you have made your selection, press Continue.
Done! You have now linked your bank so that it appears in the list under Your banks. Try clicking on the Home tab - here you can see the accounts you have chosen to display in the app. If you have multiple banks, you can repeat the process to link them as well.
FAQ on Accounts:
Which accounts can I access? You can link your deposit accounts (typically your salary account) in other banks, but not special savings accounts like children's savings, pension accounts, securities accounts, or similar.
How often does it update my accounts? We fetch your data every time you log in to the app. If the app does not show the latest transactions from your other bank, you can link the account again to resync it.
Why can't I see all my bank accounts? You choose which accounts to display in the app by toggling the blue sliders when linking. You can later edit your choices by clicking on the respective bank under Accounts from your other bank. It is only possible to link deposit accounts (typically your salary account); special savings accounts, pension accounts, securities accounts, or similar are not possible.
Can I connect multiple banks? There are no restrictions on the number of connected banks you can have.
How often do I need to authorize with MitID? Your MitID authorization is valid for 6 months, after which you need to provide new authorization via the app.
Why do I need to 'Relink' every 90 days? It is due to regulatory technical standards (RTS) for the PSD2 directive that financial institutions and payment service providers must ask for new consent every 180 days.
FAQ on Transfers:
Can I pay bills through a linked account? You can only make transfers through a linked account. Payment services or other forms of payment are not supported and thus cannot be used.
How much can I transfer? This depends on the transfer limit with the connected bank. You will be able to transfer the same amount through the Lunar app as you could in the other bank's online banking. You therefore need to contact the respective bank to find out what their transfer limits are.
Can I transfer money from another bank to my Lunar account in the app? Yes, you can transfer money to your Lunar account from your other bank via a regular transfer under the respective bank account in the Lunar app.
Can transfers be made to other banks through a linked bank? Yes, if you have linked two or more different banks in the Lunar app, you can transfer between them. In the event of an erroneous transfer, you should contact the connected bank from which the erroneous transfer was made.
Your money and data are protected:
Your money is insured and protected by the deposit guarantee scheme and is regulated under the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. This means that you receive the same security for your money as in other financial institutions. The guarantee fund protects balances on bank accounts up to DKK 750,000 in the event of bankruptcy.
We keep your data safe and confidential according to GDPR regulations. If you wish to remove the connection to your other bank accounts, we will also delete your information from our system. You can read more in our privacy policy.
