What the LVLup Score Is

The LVLup Score is a confidence metric that measures the overall strength of a betting opportunity. It is not just about the odds or the expected value (EV) of a bet. Instead, it goes even further by taking into account a range of contextual factors that influence whether a bet is truly strong over time. Think of it as a way to help you understand the quality of a bet, not just its potential. The higher the LVLup Score, the stronger the data behind that opportunity.

How It Is Calculated

The LVLup Score combines both statistical and contextual factors to build a complete picture of each bet. These include:

  • Player Availability: Whether key players are in or out of the lineup, and how that affects projections.

  • Sample Size: The number of relevant games used to generate insights. A larger sample provides a more stable view, while a smaller one adds uncertainty.

  • Minutes Consistency and Risk: How stable a player’s playing time has been, and whether their usage is trending up or down.

  • Performance Variability: How often a player’s results deviate from their average, helping to measure volatility.

  • Model Confidence: How much alignment there is between the statistical model’s projections and recent historical performance.

Each factor contributes to the final LVLup Score, which is expressed on a scale from 0 to 100. The score is designed to be easy to interpret at a glance.

What the LVLup Score Means

A higher LVLup Score indicates stronger alignment between the model’s data and real-world conditions. A lower score signals greater uncertainty or volatility.

For example:

  • Fade → LVLup score of < 50

  • Speculative Edge → LVLup score of >= 50 and < 65

  • Playable Edge → LVLup score of >= 65 and < 80

  • Strong Edge → LVLup score of >= 80 and < 85

  • Premium Edge → LVLup score of >= 85

It is important to remember that the LVLup Score is not a betting recommendation. Instead, it is a decision support tool that helps you evaluate bets with more clarity. It guides you to think critically about where the data shows an edge and where caution might be needed.

Why It Matters

The LVLup Score gives bettors a transparent way to compare bets objectively. Rather than relying on gut instinct or incomplete statistics, you can use the score to quickly assess whether a prop fits your risk profile and strategy. This saves time and gives you confidence.

Over time, this helps you build discipline and confidence in your approach. You will learn to prioritize bets supported by strong data and avoid those driven by emotion or short-term trends.

This is what LVLup means by smarter betting; using structured insight to make more informed decisions every time you open the app.
