Congratulations! If you finish in a prize-winning position in an eligible LVLup contest, there are a few steps we need to complete before your prize can be paid.
How will I know if I won?
After a contest ends, LVLup will finalize all contest results, scoring, tiebreakers, and prize-winning positions.
If you finish in a prize-winning position, you will be considered a potential winner until LVLup completes its winner verification process.We will contact potential winners using the email address associated with their LVLup account.
What information will I need to provide?
Potential winners may be asked to confirm information including:
Full legal name
Date of birth
Residential address
Province, territory, or state of residence
LVLup username and account email
Preferred prize-payment information
LVLup may also request government-issued identification or other documentation when reasonably required to confirm identity, age, residence, eligibility, or compliance with the applicable Contest Rules. In some cases, additional tax forms or documentation may also be required before a prize can be paid.
How are Canadian winners paid?
Eligible Canadian winners will generally be paid by Interac e-Transfer.
During verification, you will be asked to confirm the email address to which you would like the e-Transfer sent.
The person receiving the prize must be the verified contest winner. Prizes cannot be transferred to another person.
How are U.S. winners paid?
Eligible U.S. winners will generally be paid through PayPal.
During verification, you will be asked to provide the email address associated with your PayPal account.
You may need an active PayPal account in order to receive and access your prize.
Additional tax information or documentation may be requested where required by applicable law.
When will I receive my prize?
LVLup will begin the payout process after:
Contest results have been finalized;
Your prize-winning position has been confirmed; and
You have successfully completed any required winner verification.
Payment timing may vary depending on the payment method, verification requirements, and any additional information required from the winner.
We will notify you once your prize has been sent.
Do I have to respond to the winner notification?
Yes. Potential winners must respond to LVLup's winner notification and provide any requested verification information within the timeframe stated in the notification.
If we are unable to contact you, you do not respond within the requested period, or you do not provide the required information or documentation, you may be disqualified from receiving the prize.
What if I entered using incorrect information?
The information you provide during winner verification must be accurate and must relate to the person who participated in the contest.
LVLup may disqualify a potential winner if we determine that the participant was ineligible, used multiple accounts or identities, provided false information, or otherwise violated the applicable Contest Rules.
Are contest prizes taxable?
Prize winners are responsible for any taxes, reporting requirements, or other obligations associated with their prizes, except where applicable law requires LVLup to take additional action.
LVLup may request tax forms or other documentation where required to process or report a prize.
If you have questions about your personal tax situation, you should consult a qualified tax professional.
Can I have my prize paid to someone else?
No. Contest prizes are non-transferable and must be paid to the verified winner.
For security and compliance reasons, LVLup may require payment information to correspond with the verified winner.
I won but haven't received an email. What should I do?
First, check the inbox and spam/junk folder for the email address associated with your LVLup account.
