Use the Replace Forever feature to teach Lyrebird your preferred spelling for a specific phrase or term.

What is "Replace forever"?

"Replace Forever" teaches Lyrebird your preferred spelling for a phrase. Highlight the term, click "Replace Forever," and Lyrebird will use that spelling for future notes and documents.


How to use "Replace forever"?

1. Create your note or document, and highlight the word or phrase you would like to replace

2. Right-click to select "Replace forever"

Place your mouse over Replace Forever and then enter the correct spelling. Then click "Replace" and Lyrebird will always use your preferred spelling in future notes and documents.

How do I see my replaced words?

View and delete your replaced words in the "Customise" page of Lyrebird.

1. Go to the "Customise" page

2. Go to the "Word Replacement" tab

  • Edit your words by clicking into the words and amending the spelling

  • Delete the words by clicking the 'x' button


Examples

Use "Replace forever" for preference changes.

If Lyrebird says "centimetres", you can permanently replace it with the abbreviation "cm" and Lyrebird will use "cm" for all future notes and documents.

Use "Replace forever" to correct incorrect medical spellings.

If Lyrebird misspells "Vivanse", where it should be "Vyvanse"; you can permanently replace this spelling and Lyrebird will write "Vyvanse" for all future notes and documents.
