Customise your documents

Personalise your documents to sound like your own writing style.

What are documents?

Documents are files like a 'Letter to Referring Clinician', 'Letter to Specialist' or even an 'Mental Health Care Plan'.

By default, there will be at least 2 documents in your document library. These are uploaded by the Lyrebird team and vary depending on your field of practice.

Why customise a document?

You'll want to customise or create a new document in Lyrebird if a default document doesn't mimic your preferred writing style.

Uploading a custom document means Lyrebird will learn the way you write your letter, and you will be able to write a letter using that structure moving forward.

How to customise documents?

We understand the importance of creating and sending documents that sound like you. Through our Customise documents feature, you can customise the headings, structure, content, and tone of voice to make it seem like you wrote the documents.

There are two ways to customise documents:

  • Edit a default document - This is ideal for minor edits. To get started on customising a default document, click here.

  • Create and upload your own document - This is great for incorporating specific headings, structures, and tone of voice. By uploading example documents you have already written, Lyrebird will scan through them learning your unique writing style then recreating it in seconds for your future consults. How to ensure your customisation works

Edits to your documents will instantly apply to the next document of that type that you generate.

You have the ability to regenerate previous consultation documents from your history section, allowing you to view modifications and customisations in real-time before applying them to a patient.

This ensures your documents reflect your desired output without the need to rewrite them for future consults.
