How to Use MagicStudent

Ready to let your students interact with a custom chatbot, get instant feedback on their writing, create a skit, chat with a historical figure, or explore other student-facing tools? It’s time to create a Student Room!

Follow these simple steps to get started:

  1. Click "MagicStudent" and select "Rooms" from the drop down

    (MagicStudent is located on the left hand panel)

  2. Select "Create Room"
    (Located in the upper right-hand corner).

  3. Pick and Customize Your Tools

    1. Choose the tools you want to include in the room (you can select multiple instances of the same tool, up to a maximum of 10) and customize them.

      *If you plan to use the customized tool again, be sure to save it as a template (Click "Save As Template").

  4. Click "Save to Room"
    Once you are done adding and customizing the tools in your room, save the tools to the room.

  5. Name the Room & Save the Room

    Decide on a name for the room, add a description if you'd like, and then Save Room.

  6. Share Your MagicSchool Room with Students
    Provide students with the Join URL, post the room link in Google Classroom, or share a QR code or join code by clicking 'Invite Students'.

  7. Sit back and watch the magic unfold!
