Paste Equations from Desmos to the Canvas ➕📈

Students on web can now seamlessly transfer their work from Desmos calculators straight onto the Magma canvas.

  • Graphing Calculator: Tap “Insert” to add both the graph and equations.

  • Scientific Calculator: Tap “Insert all” to add all equations at once.

Teachers simply enable a calculator when creating an assignment. On the student side, clicking the blue “Insert” button brings their work directly into Magma.

Coming soon to iPad before the 2025–26 school year.

Snap & Upload to the canvas Instantly 📸

Students can now take a photo of their handwritten work and upload it directly to the canvas.

  • Go to the toolbox, tap “Take photo,” and the image appears instantly.

Perfect for blending digital and paper workflows.

Unified Translation for Problem Descriptions and Chatbot 🌍

A smoother multilingual experience: when students select a language from the translation button (top left), it now applies to both the problem description and chatbot—no extra clicks needed.

CAF Settings Now Auto-Save! ⚙️

Teachers’ selected CAF settings (answer checking, show work, require unit, calculator, safe mode) now auto-save for future assignments. No more resetting preferences—your workflow just got faster.

Download or Print Student Solutions with Ease! 📥

You can now download or print student solutions directly from Magma for easier recordkeeping and sharing with parents or colleagues.

Choose Who Gets Skills Matrix Practice Cards 🎯

Target practice more effectively:

  • Teachers can now select specific students to receive practice cards—not just those scoring below 50%.

  • Go to the Skills tab in an assignment to view scores and send recommendations where they’ll make the most impact.

Recommendations Tab is Live 🎉

Easily track student progress on recommended practice cards with the new Recommendations tab in Practice Mode. See which cards you’ve sent and how students performed—all in one place.

My Book & Saved Assignments Merged 📚

We’ve merged My Book and Saved Assignments for a more streamlined content library.

  • Create, customize, and organize chapters.

  • Reorder, rename, and manage problems or subchapters for maximum flexibility.
