Students Can Now Write to Lava (Grades 9–12)

Students in Grades 9–12 can now write directly to Lava during assignments, creating more opportunities for explanation, reasoning, and mathematical communication.

How Students Use It

When working on supported assignments, students may see a Write to Lava option.

To respond:

  1. Click Write to Lava.

  2. Type a response, explanation, or reasoning.

  3. Submit the response when ready.

Teachers can review student responses directly within the assignment details.

Why This Feature Matters

Writing to Lava encourages students to:
