Students will see a voice recording button in the top-left corner of the canvas.
To record:
Click the voice button to begin recording.
Solve the problem while speaking aloud.
Submit the solution.
The voice recording is automatically attached to the student’s submission.
How Teachers Access Recordings
Teachers can view voice recordings directly within the student solution view.
Teachers can:
play the recording
listen to student reasoning
review the written solution alongside the recording
A transcript is also automatically generated for quick reading and review.
Why Voice Recordings Matter
Voice recordings encourage students to verbalize their mathematical thinking and explain their reasoning process.
This helps teachers:
identify misconceptions more clearly
provide more targeted feedback
better understand student problem-solving strategies
support different learning and communication styles
Combining voice recordings with written work gives a more complete picture of student understanding.
