Magma includes built-in support for text-to-speech. This means that pupils can have the questions read aloud if they prefer or require it.

As a teacher, you can enable the text-to-speech function (speech synthesis) for individual pupils in your class. Here’s how!

  • Start by clicking into a class and go to the Pupils tab.

  • Click the three dots to the right of the pupil you want to enable text-to-speech for.

  • Click on Support settings.

  • Click the switch next to Text-to-speech so that it moves to the right, then click Save.

  • You can also enable Text-to-speech for all pupils in the class at the same time.

  • Go to Settings and click the Enable for all πŸ”Š button to the right of Text-to-speech.

  • This is what it looks like for the pupils – they click the speaker icon to have the question read aloud!

If pupils want the question text translated into other languages, you can check this guide.
