How do I schedule emails for later delivery?

Schedule emails to be sent automatically at a future date and time using Mailbutler's Smart Timing.

Written by Julia

💡 Good to know: Even if your computer is offline or turned off, Mailbutler will still send your scheduled email at the specified time.

🔔 Note: Smart Timing is not designed for bulk email campaigns. Scheduling more than 100 emails may result in failed delivery.

Step 1: Compose your email

Create your email as usual.

Step 2: Open Mailbutler

Open the Mailbutler Sidebar:

👉 Gmail

👉 Outlook

Step 3: Choose a delivery time

Choose when your email should be delivered:

➤ Select a specific date and time

➤ Use Optimize delivery date and Optimize delivery time to schedule delivery at the optimal date and/or time for each recipient

💡 Good to know: Mailbutler uses tracking data to determine the optimal delivery date and time for each recipient.

Step 4: Customize delivery options (optional)

Optionally, configure additional delivery settings, such as:

Cancel Delivery to automatically cancel the scheduled email if the recipient sends you another email before delivery.
Delivery Approval to require manual approval before the email is sent.

💡 Good to know: Delivery approvals can be managed directly from the Tailored Sending widget.

Step 5: Let Mailbutler send the email

Click Send later. Mailbutler will automatically send the email at the scheduled date and time.

💡 Good to know: If you're using Apple Mail or Gmail, scheduled emails are stored in the Mailbutler – Scheduled folder. If you're using Outlook, they're stored in Drafts.
