Profile picture and sender display name

How sender display name and profile picture work on your mailboxes, and what to do if your name or photo isn't showing.

Sender display name

To change a mailbox's display name, contact support with the mailbox name and the new first/last name — our team updates it on the backend (this does not require recreating the mailbox or restarting warmup). After the update, remove the mailbox from your sequencer and re-add it using a freshly exported CSV so the new name syncs. If you send through a sequencer, also confirm the sender name configured there, since the sequencer can override what recipients see. For where to export that CSV from, see How can I access mailbox credentials in Maildoso?

Profile picture

Profile pictures (sender avatars) are available on Google Workspace mailboxes only. We don't add them on SMTP mailboxes, where a profile picture makes the mailbox easier to footprint and flag by spam filters (see Can I add a profile picture to my mailboxes?).

On Google Workspace mailboxes, a profile picture is set on the mailbox and can take time to appear for recipients — providers like Gmail cache sender avatars, so a newly set photo may not show immediately on the recipient side or inside your sequencer. Use a clear, square image.

  • Animated GIFs are not supported as profile pictures — use a static image (PNG/JPG).

  • If your photo isn't showing in your sequencer or on sent emails after some time, contact support with the mailbox name and we'll check it.
