How to upload your own floor plan

Bring an existing floor plan into Maket to edit, refine, design, and visualize.

Already have a floor plan? Upload it and Maket turns it into a fully editable plan, instead of generating one from scratch.

💡 Uploading a plan is available on paid plans.

Before you upload

  1. Residential plans only. Maket works with homes — houses, apartment units and condo units.

  2. File types: PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 20MB.

  3. Multi-floor homes: upload a multi-page PDF and choose which pages to include, one per floor.

Uploading your plan

  1. On the Home page, click Upload your floor plan.

  2. Choose your file.

  3. If you've uploaded a multi-page PDF, select the pages you want to include.

  4. Follow the steps in the chat.

While Maket reads your plan

You'll see a progress panel showing which step it's on, and the walls and rooms it recognizes drawn over your uploaded plan as they're found.

The editor stays locked while this runs. When it finishes, your plan opens on the canvas.

If your plan doesn't come out right, let a person redraw it

Automatic recognition is a first pass, and it doesn't always get every detail right.

If yours doesn't come out the way it should, Maket will offer to have a person redraw it for you.

  • It's included in your paid plan, there's no extra charge

  • Your plan comes back properly drawn and completely to scale

  • You'll usually have it back within 24 hours

When it's ready, you'll get an email and a message in your chat with us, with a link straight to the finished plan.

On Pro plan, every plan goes to a person

You don't have to wait to be offered it, or check the result first. Every floor plan you upload on a Pro plan is reviewed and redrawn by a human, every time. If you're uploading plans regularly, that's the reason to be on Pro.

When your plan is ready, you'll get an email and a message in your chat with us, with a link straight to the finished plan.
