How credits work

What credits are, what each action costs, and what happens when something doesn't work.

Credits are Maket's currency. Anything that uses AI costs credits — generating a plan, asking Maket to edit one, or rendering an image. Editing your plan by hand doesn't.

What each action costs

Generating a floor plan costs 20 credits per floor, so a two-storey home is 40. Asking Maket to edit or re-lay-out a plan costs 5 credits. Rendering an image costs 10 credits.

Credits are reserved first, not spent

When you start something that uses AI, Maket sets those credits aside while it runs. Your balance updates straight away to show them as reserved, so it can look like you've already been charged.

You're only actually charged when the work finishes. If a generation fails, a render times out, or an edit doesn't produce a result, the reserved credits are released back to you.

If your balance doesn't come back after something failed, contact help@maket.ca and we'll sort it out.

Free, monthly and top-up credits

Your Free 30 credits are a one-time allowance and aren't replaced each month.

On Homeowner and Pro, credits refresh at the start of each billing period.

Top-up credits can be bought on any paid plan, stack on top of your monthly allowance, and never expire.
