Rendering patio doors

Place a door in your plan, then use the render prompt to make it whatever you want.

How to do it

  1. Place a door on the exterior wall where you want it, and make it as wide as you want the opening to be. The render follows the opening you drew, so size it here rather than asking for it in the prompt.

  2. Switch to 3D and set up a Walkthrough view with the door in frame.

  3. Describe it in your render prompt — full-height glass, the frame style, the colour, whatever you're after.

Prompt (formated using ChatGPT for better results):

"Transform this kitchen, dining, and living area into an elegant, modern interior with elevated designer furniture. Replace the dining set with a sculptural oval oak table with substantial pedestal legs and curved upholstered dining chairs in cream bouclé. Add sleek counter stools with walnut frames and ivory seats. Update the living area with a low-profile sofa, rounded accent chairs, a sculptural stone coffee table, and a minimalist floating TV console. Use warm neutrals, rich wood tones, soft textures, and subtle matte-black details. Add a contemporary pendant above the dining table, a large textured rug, and understated decor.

Most importantly, replace the solid door directly in front of the dining table, immediately to the right of the refrigerator, with a realistic two-panel sliding glass patio door: one fixed glass panel and one sliding glass panel. Keep it centered in the same location, widening the opening only as needed for believable sliding-door proportions while maintaining clearance from the refrigerator. Include slim matte-black frames, realistic overlapping panel profiles, a visible recessed sliding track, a low threshold, and a correctly scaled vertical pull handle and lock on the sliding panel. Use clear glass with subtle reflections and a visible outdoor patio and greenery. Ensure accurate perspective, realistic frame depth, and natural shadows where the frame meets the wall. No hinges or swinging door panels.

Use smooth warm-white walls, light oak flooring, minimalist kitchen cabinetry, and quartz countertops. Preserve the room layout, furniture locations, and camera angle while upgrading the furniture shapes, materials, and finishes. Render with natural daylight and photorealistic detail."
