Create your own turns a photo of a sofa, chair, table or cabinet into a 3D object with its height, width and depth. The object is saved to your objects, so you can place it in any floor plan and see it in 2D, in 3D and in renderings.
Before you start
Open a floor plan in Maket.
Have a photo ready: a JPEG, PNG or WebP. A product shot works, and so does a photo of a whole room.
Each new object uses 10 AI credits. Free accounts can try it with their included credits.
Step 1: Open Create your own
In your plan, open Objects and click Create your own.
Step 2: Upload a photo
Click to upload or drag and drop one image (JPEG, PNG or WebP).
Step 3: Select the piece
Maket finds the items in your photo and colors each one. Click the piece you want. You can pick several: each selection is numbered and each one becomes its own object (10 credits each).
Step 4: Create the object
Maket generates a 3D model in about 30 seconds. Drag the preview to rotate it and check it from every side. Then:
Name: keep the suggested name or type your own.
Collection (optional): file it in an existing collection or choose New collection…
Height, width and depth: Maket estimates them in inches from the photo. If you have the spec sheet, type the exact numbers.
Click Create object.
Step 5: Add it to your plan
Open Objects, go to Custom and choose your collection. Drag the object onto the plan. Use the right panel to rotate or flip it.
See it in 3D and render it
Switch the plan to 3D to see the piece in the isometric or walkthrough view, then render the room with it in place.
Share it
Use the Export button in your plan to download it or create a share link for clients, colleagues or customers.
Tips for the best results
Use a clear, well-lit photo.
Make sure the piece isn’t heavily blocked by other objects.
Sofas, chairs, tables, beds, storage, cabinets and lamps all work well as single pieces.
Check the dimensions before you create the object. Estimates can vary slightly between runs.
Common questions
Can I upload a 3D file (GLB, OBJ or SketchUp) instead?
Not at the moment. Create your own builds the 3D model from a single photo, so you don’t need a 3D file or modeling software.
Where are my custom objects saved?
In your objects, under Objects → Custom, in the collection you chose. You can add them to any of your plans.
Can I select more than one item from a photo?
Yes. Each selected item becomes a separate object and uses 10 credits.
