Introduction

In Makula, you can create and configure your limited resources, such as vehicles or tools, which can be assigned to work orders. Adding resources ensures that all necessary equipment and vehicles are available for technicians when scheduling tasks.

This guide will walk you through the process of configuring new resources (vehicles or tools) in settings.

Steps to Create a new Resource

Follow the steps below to create a new resource:

1. Navigate to Resource Management

  1. Go to the Settings section by clicking on the settings icon in the main menu.

  2. Under Work Management, select Resource Management.

  3. On the Resource Management page, click on the Add New Resource button.

3. Select Resource Type

  1. In the right drawer, you will need to select the type of resource.

  2. Choose between:

    • Vehicle: If the resource is a vehicle (e.g., service van, truck).

    • Tool: If the resource is a tool (e.g., drill, crane, measuring device).

4. Enter Resource Details

  1. Enter the name of the resource.

  2. Provide a unique Resource ID for the resource.

5. Save the Resource

  1. After entering the details, click Save to add the new resource to the system.

  2. The resource will now appear in the Resource Management list and can be assigned to work orders as needed.

Next Steps: Assigning Resources to Work Orders

Once the resources have been added, you can assign them to work orders during scheduling. This ensures that technicians have the right tools and vehicles needed to complete their tasks efficiently.
