How does your online Chinese class help me practice Chinese language skills?

Updated this week

Our online Chinese course is designed to give you hundreds of opportunities to practice and truly absorb what you’re learning. We offer a well-rounded mix of exercises and interactive tools that help you develop all four core language skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening.

Here’s what you can expect:

Interactive Flashcards: Every new character, word, and sentence comes with built-in flashcards that use spaced repetition (SRS) to help you review efficiently and remember long-term. These cards are linked directly to the content you're learning, so you're never just memorizing in isolation.

Graded Readers: As you progress, you’ll unlock a library of graded content, stories, dialogues, and reading passages, all written using only the characters and words you’ve already learned. This means you can start reading in Chinese with confidence, right from the early stages.

Sentence & Grammar Integration: We teach grammar through example sentences and real usage. You’ll see new vocabulary used in meaningful contexts, helping you naturally internalize sentence patterns and word order.

Speaking Practice: While we don't offer live classes, the course encourages you to shadow native speakers, record yourself, and use what you’re learning in real-life scenarios. We also recommend community challenges and language exchange opportunities to keep improving your spoken Mandarin.

Structured Lessons with Clear Progression: Each lesson builds on what you've previously learned. The course is divided into phases, starting with the basics and gradually moving into upper-intermediate and advanced content, eventually getting you past 3,000 characters and 11,000 words.

All of this takes place in a supportive, structured learning environment designed to help you succeed at your own pace. If you ever have questions or need guidance, our team is just a message or email away at contact@mandarinblueprint.com.
