When a Mangools tool will not load or shows an error

Most errors in the Mangools SEO tools come from a short list of shared messages.

Written by Dev + MKT

Most errors in the Mangools SEO tools come from a short list of shared messages. Each one tells you where the problem is: your connection or browser, maintenance on our side, your access, or searches sent too fast. Find the message you see below. If none of the fixes work, contact us with the details listed at the end.

"Connection problem"

The tool could not reach our servers. The message says: "Looks like you have lost connection to the server or the request was blocked by a 3rd party application (e.g. browser extension like adBlock)." Before it shows this, the tool has already tried once more on its own.

To fix it, try these steps in order:

  1. Check that your internet connection works, then reload the page.

  2. Turn off ad blockers and privacy extensions for mangools.com, and reload.

  3. If you use a VPN or a company network, try without the VPN or on another network.

  4. Open the tool in a private window. If it works there, an extension or stored site data in your normal window is the cause.

"Our services are currently undergoing maintenance"

KWFinder says "We're sorry, our services are currently undergoing maintenance." SERPChecker and SERPWatcher say "Sorry, our services are undergoing a maintenance." Either way, the problem is on our side, and there is nothing to fix in your browser. Wait a while and try again.

"Access denied"

"Access denied" means your account has no right to what you tried to open, for example a SERPWatcher tracking that belongs to another account. Check that you are signed in with the right account. If you are, and the message stays, contact us with the address of the page you tried to open.

"Too many requests" or "exceeded maximum allowed API requests per second"

You sent several searches in a very short time, and the tool paused them. These messages do not use any lookups. Wait a moment and search again. KWFinder's version of these messages is explained in KWFinder shows no results: 'processing', errors and limit messages.

"There was an error while fetching ..."

A message that starts "There was an error while fetching" means one request failed or did not finish within 30 seconds. The rest of the message names the data, for example "related keywords data". Wait a minute and try the same action again. If it fails every time, contact us.

"UPDATE AVAILABLE"

A notice headed "UPDATE AVAILABLE" means we released a new version of the tool while you had it open. The tool checks for one every 15 minutes. Select Reload now to load the new version.

"The download is not working in this browser"

If an export says "We're sorry, the download is not working in this browser. Try Chrome or Firefox, please.", your browser blocked the file. Try the export again in Chrome or Firefox.

The tool does not load at all

If the page stays empty or keeps loading, reload it once. Then try a private window, and then another browser. If the tool works in a private window or another browser, an extension or stored site data is the cause. Clear the site data for mangools.com, or turn your extensions off one at a time.

If the tool keeps asking you to sign in, see Trouble signing in.

Is the problem on our side?

If the same error appears in a private window, in another browser and on another network, the cause is probably on our side. When we know about a wider problem, the tool may show a notice at the top of the page. Contact us anyway: we tell you whether we already know about it.

Some messages are not errors. SERPWatcher's waiting states are explained in Rankings missing, stuck on 'processing' or showing 101+. For a new AI Search Watcher monitor, see Why your monitor shows no data yet.
