Once you've built your map using the Interactive Geo Maps plugin, you can easily add it to any page or post on your WordPress website. There are two simple methods to do this:
1. Using a Shortcode
Step 1: Obtain the Shortcode
After creating and saving your map for the first time, you'll find a new box containing the shortcode on the page, usually located at the top right in the sidebar.
Copy this shortcode.
[show-map id='102']
Step 2: Insert the Shortcode
Paste the copied shortcode into the content area of your post or page where you want the map to appear.
If you're using a page builder like Visual Composer or Elementor, add the shortcode within a text element.
Alternatively, you can add the shortcode to text widgets to display the map in the sidebar or footer of your page.
2. Using a Block
Step 1: Add the Map Block
In the block editor, select the "+" icon to add a new block.
Search for the "Map" block in the 'Widgets' section or simply type 'Map' in the search bar.
The map block can be found in the ‘Widgets’ section or you can simply search for ‘Map’.
Step 2: Select Your Map
Once the Map block is added, a dropdown menu will appear in the sidebar.
Choose the map you have previously created from the dropdown menu.
That's It!
You'll see a preview of the map in the block editor.
Once you visit the published page or post, the complete map will be rendered for your viewers to interact with.
By following these steps, you can effortlessly integrate your interactive map into your WordPress website, whether you prefer using shortcodes or blocks. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to reach out for support.
