By default the map projection will display the world map starting at longitude = 0 to 180. Since Russia spans the 180 limit, it displays part of it on the left side, where the 0 longitude starts. The same with New Zealand, which has some islands that span 180 longitude, but it’s less visible in this case.
If you prefer to have Russia all in one side, you can use the option to change the initial longitude and latitude and set the longitude to -10.
