A map projection is a way to flatten the world’s globe surface into a flat map. All projections of a sphere on a flat area will necessarily distort the surface in some way and to some extent. Different projections will tackle this issue differently. Some projections might work better than others depending on the purpose. The plugin provides some builtin projections.
Free Version
The free version of the plugin includes the following projections:
AlbersUSA – this particular projection is different as it is meant to be used together with US maps, to bring Alaska and Hawaii closer together.
Pro Version
The Pro version includes many more projections.
