Maprix's Meters Software is a powerful tool designed to help businesses monitor their network printers using the SNMP protocol. This software allows for easy and efficient management of network printers, providing valuable information such as serial numbers, page counters, consumable levels, and printer errors.

Purpose of the System:

The main purpose of Maprix's Meters Software is to provide businesses with a comprehensive solution for monitoring their network printers. By utilizing the SNMP protocol (port 161 UDP), the software is able to gather important data from the printers within the client's network. This data is then used to generate reports and provide insights into the performance and status of the printers.

Software Architecture:

The software is primarily composed of two main components: a service and a user interface. The service operates at regular intervals, typically once a day, to collect data from the SNMP printers in the network. This data is then sent via SMTP.

Security Notes:

At Maprix Ltd, we take security very seriously. That's why all parts of our Maprix's Meters Software are signed with a Sectigo EV Code Signing Certificate. This certificate requires a physical connection with a token device for signing at the time of software release, ensuring the authenticity and integrity of our software.

In addition, our software is designed to operate without internet access, using only an SMTP server within the local network to send reports. This ensures that sensitive data remains within the client's network and is not transmitted over the internet.
