These rules govern Markable's "Give $20, Get $20" referral program (the "Program").
1. Definitions
Referrer — a Markable user who shares their referral link.
Referral — a new user who signs up through a Referrer's link. Whether someone counts as a new user is set out in Section 2.
Referral Link / Code — the unique link assigned to each user for tracking referrals. The link contains the user's unique referral code as a URL suffix.
Paid Plan — any paid Markable subscription (for example, Grow, Pro, VIP, or Boosting). The Markable Starter plan is free and is not a paid plan.
Qualified Referral — a referral that meets all the conditions in Section 4.
Credit — Markable subscription credit issued under the Program. Credit is not money and has no cash value.
Pending Credit — Credit held in pending status until the Referral qualifies. Pending Credit is not spendable until it activates.
2. Who can take part
All Markable users can refer friends and earn Credit — both free and paid users, under the same rules.
The Referral's status as a new user determines whether either side earns Credit. A person who currently has a Markable account is not a new user, and no Credit is earned by either side.
Special case — a deleted account: if the person previously deleted a Markable account, it depends on how that earlier account signed up:
If the earlier account signed up through a valid referral link, no Credit is earned by either side.
If the earlier account did not sign up through a referral link, a fresh signup through a referral link can still count, as long as the Referral meets all the usual qualifying conditions.
Each user has one unique referral link, which contains their unique referral code.
Participants must meet Markable's general account requirements. The Program may be limited or unavailable in some regions.
3. How the Program works
A Referrer shares their referral link with a creator friend.
The Referral signs up through that link and receives $20 Credit towards their Markable subscription. At the same time, the Referrer receives $20 Pending Credit.
The Referral subscribes to a paid Markable plan and then completes at least one automatic renewal charge — the charge that occurs when the paid plan renews at the end of a billing cycle. The free Markable Starter plan does not count.
Once the Referral qualifies (Section 4), the Referrer's $20 Pending Credit is activated.
4. What counts as a Qualified Referral
A referral qualifies only when all of the following happen within 120 days of the Referral's signup:
the Referral signs up through a valid referral link (carrying a valid referral code);
the Referral subscribes to a paid Markable plan; and
the Referral completes at least one automatic renewal charge on a Paid Plan — the charge that occurs when the plan renews at the end of a billing cycle.
Subscribing alone is not enough — the paid plan must renew at least once. The free Markable Starter plan does not count.
If the Referral does not complete all of the above within 120 days of signup, the Referrer's Pending Credit expires and does not reactivate, even if the Referral qualifies later. Creating a free account alone does not qualify for a referral reward.
5. Reward amounts
Each side earns $20 Credit per Qualified Referral. There is no fixed limit on how many referrals you can earn.
Reward amounts are configurable, may differ between Referrer and Referral, and may change over time.
Markable may review unusually high referral activity before issuing rewards.
6. Credit terms
Validity.
The Referral's Credit is valid for 90 days from signup.
The Referrer's Pending Credit is valid for 120 days from the Referral's signup; if the referral does not qualify within that time, it expires.
Once activated, the Referrer's Credit is valid for 365 days from the date the Referral qualifies.
Unused Credit expires and has no value.
How it's applied. Credit is applied to your Markable subscription payments. The maximum available Credit is applied to each eligible charge; you can't choose a partial amount or turn the deduction off.
Order and rollover. When you hold multiple Credits, the earliest-expiring one is used first. If a Credit is larger than a charge, the remainder stays in your balance and rolls over to future charges until it's used up or expires.
What it can be used for. Credit can be used only towards Markable subscription payments, in the same currency as the Credit. It has no cash value and can't be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged.
Multiple credits. A single account can hold more than one Credit (for example, Credit earned both as a Referral and as a Referrer).
$0 charges. If Credit fully covers a charge so that $0 is due, you still need to complete normal subscription setup (including adding a payment method) so future renewals can be processed. Charges that are $0 on their own don't consume Credit.
7. How referrals are tracked
A referral is attributed to the last valid referral link clicked before signup (carrying a valid referral code), and is locked in at signup. It does not change based on anything that happens after signup.
If several referral links are clicked before signup, the most recent valid referral link (carrying a valid referral code) is used.
You can't refer yourself. Logging into an existing account through a referral link does not create a Referral and does not earn Credit for either side.
8. What's not allowed
You may not:
create fake, duplicate, or multiple accounts to obtain or multiply rewards;
use bots, scripts, automation, or bulk or fake signups;
buy, sell, trade, or spam referral links, or share them through misleading or unauthorized channels;
misrepresent your identity or sign up on someone else's behalf without permission; or
otherwise manipulate or attempt to game the Program, its tracking, or Credit.
9. Verification, withholding, and reclaiming rewards
Markable monitors the Program for fraud and abuse.
Markable may withhold, cancel, or reclaim Credit (including Pending Credit), reverse related benefits, and suspend or close accounts where it determines that a Referral did not qualify, that fraud, abuse, or prohibited conduct occurred, that these rules were broken, or that a related payment was refunded, canceled, or charged back.
Credit already applied to a completed payment may not be restored or refunded.
Markable's decisions about eligibility, qualification, and rewards are final.
10. Changes to the Program
Markable may change, pause, or end the Program — including reward amounts, eligibility, qualification requirements, and validity periods — at any time. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated rules.
