What is Auto DM?

Auto DM is Markable’s version of an automatic response chatbot that can be used to send deep links to your viewers. Creators can set up Auto DM for any of their past posts, as well as schedule responses for future posts. Simply set a keyword to trigger the response, and when your viewers comment that keyword, the response will be automatically sent within just a few seconds. Keep reading below to learn more!

Auto DM Troubleshooting

Why is my AutoDM suddenly not working?

Please check that your Facebook access token is current. You will see a message in the “Bio+Auto DM” tab asking you to re-enable AutoDM access. While this is a normal occurrence, it should be rare. If you notice you have to re-enable often, or are still having trouble with AutoDM even when access is enabled, please send us an email to success@markable.ai.

Why do I sometimes need to re-enter my Facebook login credentials?

The Facebook access token usually expires once every 30 days. This is a security feature put in place by Meta to protect your account from unauthorized access. To keep your AutoDMs running smoothly, you should receive an automated email when your Facebook account is disconnected from your Markable account. You will need to renew the access token by entering your login credentials again.

What if my Facebook access is denied?

Please review the “Trouble Shooting AutoDM: Facebook Authorization Failure” article. If you are still having trouble after following this tutorial, please contact success@markable.ai.

Why are some people not receiving my Auto DMs?

Due to the privacy settings of Instagram and Facebook, some AutoDMs may be sent to your viewers’ message requests folders. This is more likely if they are not following you, or if they have strict privacy settings for their own account. If you notice several or all of your messaging going unreceived, please contact us at success@markable.ai.

My Instagram/Facebook posts are not appearing in the Markable app. What should I do?

If your posts are not appearing in the Markable app, you will need to contact us so we can figure out why. Please contact us at success@markable.ai.

I deleted a post on Instagram/Facebook. Why does it still appear in the Markable app?

If you delete a post from your social media, it may take a few minutes for the post to disappear from the Markable app. If the post does not disappear, it will not affect your social media content. If you notice the deleted post is still appearing in your Markable app, contact us at success@markable.ai and we will delete it from Markable for you.
