As a buyer, my payment keeps getting rejected. What do I do? As a seller, I am concerned about payment fraud. What can be done?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

We take fraud very seriously and take steps to prevent the marketplace and sellers from payment fraud.

If you are trying to buy and run into an issue with a rejection, please contact your issuing bank to verify the details and try again.

For sellers on the marketplace, here is how we protect you:

šŸ“¢ Seller Update: Improved Fraud Protection + More Orders Coming Your Way!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve implemented enhanced fraud control measures across our marketplace to protect you and your business better

.

Here’s what’s new and important:

āœ… If an order is marked as ā€œPaid,ā€ you are protected—whether or not the billing and shipping addresses match.

āœ… TradingCardsMarketplace.com will cover chargebacks related to unauthorized or fraudulent card usage.

āŒ Please note: We do not cover chargebacks for reasons such as ā€œitem not receivedā€ or ā€œitem not as described,ā€ as these are unrelated to credit card fraud.

🚫 Important: Sellers should not cancel any paid orders due to suspected fraud. If we’ve collected payment, there is no need to review or reject the order—our fraud systems have already done the work.

What this means for you:

Because we’re no longer requiring billing and shipping addresses to match, you can now expect to see more orders—especially from buyers sending gifts or ordering on behalf of others.

This update is part of our ongoing commitment to create a safer, more reliable, and more profitable platform for all our sellers.
