Seller Protection Policy

Updated this week

At Marketplace.Live, we defend sellers against abusive buyer behavior and fraudulent activity. This includes unjustified negative feedback, unfair returns, and policy violations. However, seller protection is contingent on fulfilling your responsibilities — including tracking, accurate listings, and professional conduct.

Key Protections:

  • Protection against buyer abuse, misrepresented returns, or extortion

  • Removal of unjust feedback when cases are closed in your favor

  • Fraud chargeback protection for unauthorized card use

Shipping and Insurance Clarification:

If an item is lost or damaged and the seller failed to provide valid tracking or used insufficient packaging, Marketplace.Live may resolve the buyer’s claim under our shipping insurance policy and seek reimbursement from the seller.

Tracking Requirements:

Ship with valid tracking to qualify for seller protection. Sellers who repeatedly ship without tracking may lose eligibility for protection and may be liable for claims resolved via insurance.

Chargeback & Dispute Handling:

If a payment dispute arises:

  • Marketplace.Live will respond on your behalf

  • You must provide order documentation promptly

  • If the bank rules against you, you are responsible for chargeback losses unless covered under our unauthorized-use fraud protection

Revocation of Protections:

Seller protection may be revoked for:

  • Operating under false identities

  • Multiple policy violations

  • Selling prohibited or counterfeit goods

  • Abusing buyer protection systems
