Every purchase on marko is protected by the marko Buyer Protection. It helps ensure safe payments, gives you the right to return items, claim a refund, and get support from marko. Find out more under What's the Buyer Protection Fee.
Fraud Protection
On marko, you do not have to worry about fraud. Sellers only get paid, once you accepted the item. If the item never arrives or is not as advertised, you receive your money back.
After you purchased the item, the seller has 7 days to ship it to you. If the seller fails to ship the item in item, the transaction gets automatically canceled and no payment get triggered.
Return Policy
Once you received an item, you have 2 days to inspect it. If it ends up not being as expected, you can initiate a return within 2 days and ship it back to the seller. After the initiation of a return process you have 72 hours (3 days) to confirm that you shipped the return. You will be responsible for the shipping costs, but we will refund you the price of the item. Find out more on returns under Buyer's Return Policy.
Secure Payment
All marko payments are encrypted and handled by our trusted partner Stripe. That way, both your money and information are protected. Find more on how the payment in the dedicated Payment article.
All payments are handled digitally, and are processed by Stripe. When a purchase is made, the total payment amount is being reserved from the buyer, ensuring the seller will get paid upon a successfully completed transaction. Likewise, the payment is only transferred to the seller's bank account once you received and accepted the item, ensuring that there is no fraud on marko.
