At first, click on Automation from the sidebar.
Now, click on Create Rule from the top right.
After that, you will be directed to a new page. In the Rule Info section, enter the Rule Name, Rule Description and select either Facebook or Google for Platform.
Now, in the Scope section, you can select the scope of your rule from campaigns, ads and ad sets (It might differ for different platforms) from the dropdown. Click on your desired scope.
A pop-up will appear. Now from the left side in Scopes, you can change the scope again if you want. Next, in the middle part you can find a list of campaigns, ads or other scopes. Select the ones you want by clicking in the checkboxes. You can even search for something specific from the top right. After selecting, click on Save from the bottom-right of your screen.
From the Task section, click in Pause and a dropdown will appear. You can select your preferred task from the dropdown(The options in the dropdown may vary from different scopes). Now click on the task that you want.
Now click on Clicks. You can select the metric that you want for the condition from the dropdown as shown here (Metrics might vary for different scopes).
Now, click on Today. A dropdown will appear. From here you can select the time period condition for you rule. Click on your preferred one.
Now click on <less than. It will open up a dropdown with different conditional operators. Click on your preffered one.
Now, enter a value for the metric.
If you want to add more condition, click on Condition. A new task field will appear. You can edit it by following the previous steps. You can change the relation between two conditions by clicking on AND button. You can set the relation to either AND or OR.
Now if you want to add a group, click on Group as shown below. It will add new relation with grouped up conditions.
You can click on Preview as shown below, to get a overview of how your rule looks like.
You can also add a task description for better understanding by clicking on the Description button as shown below. Then enter your text in the text field.
Click on +Task to add another task. It will not affect the previous one. If you want to delete a task, you can click on the Delete icon as shown below.
Now in the Notification section, click on the toggle button to turn on your notifications for this rule.
After the toggle is enabled, an input field will appear. Enter the email address where you want your notifications to be sent.
Now in the Schedule section, click in the dropdown and select the time when this rule will be active. You can also run the rule on specific dates by enabling the toggle below.
After you are done, click on Set Rule to save and apply your rule.
