Put a Marma suggestion into your Etsy listing

Review the wording, use Apply and save when you’re ready.

Written by Richie Peplin

With the Marma extension, you can move a suggested title, tags or description into Etsy's listing editor.

Prepare your edit

Open the right listing in Etsy's editing screen and save a copy of the old wording.

For a description rewrite, paste the whole original into Marma. The page text Marma uses can contain only the opening. Tell it to keep important care, options and delivery details.

Read the draft before using it. Check the material, size, quantity and other facts against your product.

Use Apply or Copy

When Marma recognizes a suggestion, it can show these controls:

  • Apply puts the suggestion into a matching Etsy field.

  • Copy lets you paste the text yourself.

  • Apply All, when shown, applies the available suggestions together.

If Apply is missing or can't find the field, copy and paste your chosen wording in Etsy's editing screen.

Check the fields and save

Look at the finished title or description in Etsy. Make sure important details are still there.

For tags, existing tags can stay in place. Remove only those you want to replace. Add any missing ones by hand, remove duplicates and use up to 13 tags, each no longer than 20 characters, including spaces. Check the tags themselves even if Apply reports success.

Marma doesn't perform Etsy's final save or publish action. When you're happy with the listing, use Etsy's own control to save it. You can restore your original wording if you prefer it.
