Explore a product idea from Pinterest

Turn a few relevant pins into an idea to research on Etsy.

Written by Richie Peplin

Use Pinterest to explore a style or occasion that fits what you make. Marma can help you discuss the available pin text and details.

Choose a few pins

  1. Open a relevant Pinterest search and let the pins load.

  2. Open the Marma extension.

  3. Choose Select Pins and pick the ones you want to discuss. Analyze All can collect up to 50 available pins.

  4. Wait for the research card to update, then type your question.

Only select pins you want to share with Marma. A completed scan is included with your next message even when the sparkle switch is off. Scanning alone doesn't send a message.

Ask about your own work

Try:

I make blue ceramic mugs. From these pin details, suggest one theme I could explore and two Etsy phrases to research.

Marma uses the available text and details; it doesn't inspect the images. Describe any visual detail that matters to your idea.

Check the idea on Etsy

Take a promising phrase into Keyword Search. Pinterest phrase counts don't measure Etsy searches or sales. Use your own designs, photos and wording.

Marma can also use available details from supported pin, board and Pinterest Trends pages. Their controls differ from search pages.

If the research card stays empty, refresh once or describe the idea in your own words.
