How to Create an Invoice in Maroo

You can create and send a professional invoice directly from your Maroo dashboard in just a few steps. Whether you’re billing a new client or sending a quick payment request, Maroo makes the process simple and flexible.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create Quick Invoice

Steps to create an invoice

  • Go to your Maroo Dashboard.
From the left‑hand menu, click Invoices.

  • Click “Create invoice.”
This opens the invoice creation flow.

  • Choose your invoice type.

🔔 You can select whether you want to send a Quick Invoice for straightforward payments or an Itemized Invoice with detailed line items (learn more about creating itemized invoices).

  • For Quick Invoice, add your client details and invoice amount.
Fill out the needed information for the client. (e.g. Name, Email, Amount, Due date, Event date.)

  • Choose your preferred payment methods

Select the payment methods you’d like to make available to your clients.

  • Add additional information

You can add extra details like a CC email, notes for your client, or attachments such as contracts.

  • Review and confirm

Review all the details and make sure everything is correct before creating the invoice.

What your clients will see

Your client receives a clean, mobile‑friendly payment page where they can review the invoice and pay securely.

How to copy your invoice link

You can easily share your invoice by copying its link directly from your Maroo dashboard. Simply open the invoice you want to share, look for the “Copy Link” option, and paste the link wherever you’d like—via email, text, or any other method.

This allows your clients to access the invoice quickly without sending it through Maroo’s email system.

When you’ll receive your funds

Once your client pays:

  • Card payments (credit or debit): typically arrive in 1–2 business days

  • Free bank transfers: usually take 4–5 business days

Syncing your invoices with QuickBooks

You can connect your QuickBooks Online account directly from your Maroo dashboard:

  • Go to Settings → Integrations

  • Select QuickBooks Online and sign in

  • Once connected, your invoices will sync automatically

  • You’ll see a rotating arrows icon 🔄 next to invoices that are syncing
