In this article we will cover your account settings, where to find them, and how they impact the payment experience for you and your clients on Maroo.
Basics
You can access your account settings here: https://pay.maroo.us/v/dashboard/settings
There you will find the following groups of settings:
Payment settings
Account Settings
Business Details
Integrations
Payment settings
These are your global payment settings. You can do 2 things here:
Enable/Disable specific payment methods (i.e. you can opt out from accepting credit cards)
Define who pays the processing fees by payment method type (i.e. below the clients will always pay the processing fees across both cards and ACH transfers)
Account Settings
The Account Settings area lets you control essential details about your Maroo payment experience — from how your information appears to your clients to how your team and notifications are managed.
Contact Info & Profile Image
This section is where you personalize the core details of your account. Update your business address, phone number, email, and profile image or logo here.
These details are visible to your clients — such as on invoice screens and your payment page — so make sure they reflect your current and professional information.
Customization
Use the customization options to tailor the look and feel of your Maroo interfaces (where supported on your plan).
Brand Color: Choose a color that matches your branding. This color can appear on invoices, payment screens, and other client-facing pages.
Background Image: Upload a background image that will be shown on client payment screens and other branded areas of your payment experience.
These visual customizations help strengthen your brand and create a polished, cohesive experience for your clients.
Templates
In the Templates area you can create, edit, and manage invoice templates that you use frequently — especially for itemized invoices.
Templates save time and ensure consistency each time you send out a bill or invoice. Instead of building one from scratch, choose a template with pre-filled items, line descriptions, or terms that fit your business workflows.
Team Management
This section helps you manage your team’s access to your Maroo account.
Add or remove team members
Send invitations to collaborators
Adjust roles or permissions as needed
This ensures that the right people have the right level of access to view or manage your account on your behalf.
Password Management
If you need to reset your current password or update it for security reasons, you’ll do that here.
Maroo recommends regular password updates to help prevent unauthorized access and protect your account’s security.
Notifications
In the Notifications section, you control what alerts you receive and how you receive them.
You can adjust settings for:
Invoice and payment notifications
Updates about account activity
Reminders or alerts
Tuning these preferences helps you stay informed about important events without unnecessary noise.
Business Details
The Business Details section ensures your account is properly verified so you can process payments securely and in compliance with financial regulations. The information collected here is used for identity verification, regulatory compliance, and payment processing requirements.
Legal Details
Enter your official business information exactly as it appears on legal and tax documents. This may include:
Legal business name
Business structure (e.g., sole proprietorship, LLC, corporation)
Registered business address
Tax identification number (EIN or equivalent)
Country of registration
This information is required to meet compliance standards and payment processor regulations. Make sure all details are accurate and up to date to avoid delays in payment processing or account verification.
Business Owner Details
Provide information about the primary business owner or authorized representative. This typically includes:
Full legal name
Date of birth
Residential address
Contact information
Ownership percentage (if applicable)
These details are required for identity verification and anti-fraud compliance. In some cases, additional documentation may be requested to confirm ownership or authorization.
Keeping this section complete and accurate helps ensure uninterrupted payment processing and a smooth verification experience.
Integrations
The Integrations section allows you to connect Maroo with the tools you already use to run your business. Linking your account to your existing tech stack helps automate workflows, reduce manual work, and keep your data in sync.
