Navigating Duo-Pouches

What is a duo-pouch and how do the portions work?

Updated yesterday

Good things come in twos, no?

All of our Marro pouches come as "duo-pouches". This means that there should be 2 squares of food joined together to make one duo-pouch. We do appreciate that this can get a little confusing.

When we talk about pouches, we will be referring to the 2 squares of food together, aka: the Duo-Pouch.

1 square = one section of food of the duo-pouch

1 pouch = the whole thing with the two sections of food together

E.G: 1 pouch would technically be 2 squares of food, 2 pouches would be 4 squares, etc.

Size of pouches and portioning

Our pouches come in 2 different sizes:

  • 2 x 65g duo-pouch

  • 2 x 90g duo-pouch

The duo-pouch size that your cat is given is based on the portion that you've selected in your account, or if you haven't made any changes, will be based on the information you gave when signing up about your feline-friend.

Here's an example of what that might look like

1) Half A 65g duo-pouch per day (One square in total per day, 65g)

2) A 65g duo-pouch per day (Two squares in total per day, 130g)

3) Half a 90g duo-pouch per day (One square in total per day, 90g)

4) A 90g duo-pouch per day (Two squares in total per day, 180g)

If your cat receives more food than these four options, you may use one and a half duo-pouches (3 squares of 65g or 90g) , 2 duo-pouches (4 squares of 65g or 90g) or more, based on what is best for your cat.

If you want to change your cat's portion - see our guide on how to do that here.

Regularity (Cadence) of pouches

We offer pouches to be delivered every 14, 28 or 42 days. If none of these work for you - it might be worth reaching out to our team who can see if there's another plan we can put in place.

The number of duo-pouches you select during this time-frame is up to you and what's best for your cat and their portion size (as well as your freezer space).

If you'd like to discuss your cat's pouches, something doesn't seem right, or if you just want some further context - please don't hesitate to get in touch and our dedicated team will be more than happy to help.
