Why is Taurine Important?
Why is Taurine Important?
Updated over 6 months ago

Our recipes on average contain 0.14% taurine, which is an amino acid that is only found in animal proteins, and is essential for many processes in the body but is especially important in these key areas of a cats health:

  • Vision

  • Cardiovascular Health

  • Reproductive Health

  • Immune Function

  • Digestion support

Most mammals can produce the taurine they need naturally in the body, but cats do not make quite enough taurine themselves, instead gaining what they need through their diet, making taurine an essential nutrient for cats. Our meals have been formulated under the watchful eye of Maude herself to ensure they offer a balanced and complete diet, packed with essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals a cat needs; and yes, high in taurine too.
