Your meals will arrive in a box designed to keep the pouches insulated for up to 50 hours, so they will stay chilled even if you are not home when your box arrives. Your pouches will arrive chilled, ready use or freeze at home.
Once prepared our boxes are kept in cold storage so, the 50-hour window begins when the courier collects your box, ensuring the food remains fresh during transit.
When your order arrives, check that the pouches are cold to the touch. If they are, you can safely refrigerate or freeze them immediately. If any pouch feels warm, do not use it, as it may no longer be safe. If delivery is delayed but the pouches are still cold to the touch upon arrival, they are safe to refrigerate or freeze.
Simply pop the pouches into the freezer upon arrival, leaving a few in the fridge to feed over the next couple of days.
It means you’ll be ready the moment your cat decides it’s dinnertime (which, let’s face it, is most of the time).
Once in the fridge, pouches are good to store for up to 7 days (if unopened). Once you've opened them, we recommend 48 hours until it's time to say goodbye to any remnants of yesterday's feast.
You can store Marro frozen until the best before date printed on the pouch (usually around a year from production). But if your cat’s anything like ours, they’ll never make it that far.
Ice packs may melt during transit, but as long as the pouches remain cold to the touch, the food is safe. If immediate freezing is not possible, keep the box in a cooler spot, such as a shaded balcony or garden, to extend the chilling effect until you can transfer the pouches to a freezer..
