Why not 100 % meat?
Why not 100 % meat?
Updated over 5 months ago

Our feline friends are obligate carnivores, meaning they require a meat-based diet in order to survive. However, it is important to note that simply feeding a cat plain meat may not provide all the necessary nutrients in the right proportions. A balanced diet for a cat typically includes not only muscle meat but also organs, and sometimes other nutrients like taurine, which is essential for cats and can be found in animal tissues.

Our recipes contain a generous amount of animal protein; think succulent chunks of human-quality meat and sustainably-sourced fish, as well as nutrient-packed organ meat like heart and liver.

The rest consists of :

  • Our golden gravy for hydration as cats are notorious for not drinking enough

  • Cranberries to support a healthy urinary tract

  • Brewers yeast which contains biotin, zinc and folic acid which helps support a healthy skin and coat.

  • Psyllium seed which is a source of fibre for healthy digestion

  • FOS (Fructooligosaccharides) and MOS (Mannanoligosaccharides) are prebiotics which stimulates the growth of beneficial gut microflora for healthy digestive tract.

  • Salmon oil which has many benefits, from improving your cat's skin and coat health to supporting their immune system and heart health.

  • A small amount of Tapioca to add to the glossy, smooth texture of the gravy and is completely natural, extracted from the root of the cassava plant.

and thats it!

As you can see our meals are not 100% meat for a reason. We have thoughtfully included extra vitamins, minerals, fibres and that all important hydration to support all round happier, healthier, fabulous looking cats. Supurr stuff if you ask us.
