When and how MultiCar renews
All policies within a MultiCar account renew on the same date, set by the Account Holder’s original policy. This means that:
Each individual policy in the account will renew together
You’ll receive a combined renewal notification by email at least 14 days before the renewal date
The Account Holder is responsible for managing the renewal for the entire account.
What’s included in your renewal notice
Your renewal email will contain:
Renewal prices for each policy in the account.
Total cost if paying annually or monthly
Policy documents for each insured vehicle
Instructions on how to turn off auto-renew if needed
Can I make changes during the renewal window?
Yes you are able to update your details during the renewal window but this is only possible for now by speaking to our customer support team.
Turning off auto-renew
If the Account Holder turns off auto-renew for their own policy, this affects the entire account.
What happens:
All policies in the MultiCar account will expire on the renewal date
Policyholders will receive an email notification letting them know
Cover ends at 11:59 PM on the last day of the policy
You can turn off auto-renew via:
The Marshmallow app under the policy settings
What if a policyholder wants to leave the account?
If a policyholder no longer wants to be insured under the MultiCar account:
The Account Holder must expire that policy before the renewal date.
If left unchanged, the policy will renew along with the rest of the account.
Once the account has renewed, that policy can be cancelled or updated in line with standard terms and cancellation procedures.
After renewal
Once your MultiCar account has renewed:
Your new documents and payment schedule are available in the app and online
The new policies are active from 12:00 AM on the renewal date
If you need to make changes, you can now do so via the app or by starting a chat
