Do I need a UK sticker on my car?
It depends on your number plate and where you’re driving:
You do not need a UK sticker if:
Your number plate includes the UK identifier and the Union Flag (Union Jack)
You’re driving in the Republic of Ireland
You do need a UK sticker if:
Your number plate only shows letters and numbers
Your plate has a GB identifier, or national flags (e.g., England, Scotland, Wales)
You’re driving in Spain, Cyprus, or Malta (these countries require a UK sticker no matter what’s on your plate)
