What if I don’t have any address documents in my name?

This article is for customers who live with someone else or don’t have any proof of address in their own name.

Updated over a week ago

We know not everyone has bills or formal letters in their own name—especially if you're staying with family or friends. In these cases, we can accept a temporary proof of address.

What we need from your host (the person you live with)

Please ask them to provide:

  1. A proof of address in their name (e.g. a utility bill or council tax letter)

  2. A photo of their ID (passport or driving licence)

  3. A signed letter or email from them confirming you live at their address

Important: If this is your permanent home (for example, you live with your parents), we can accept this as your ongoing proof of address and won’t ask again.

What happens next?

Once we receive these documents, we’ll mark your address as verified for now. We’ll follow up in a month to see if you’re able to provide something in your own name.
