How do cancel my Marshmallow policy if I'm dual insured?

For customers who are ready to cancel one of their Marshmallow policies because they have cover in place elsewhere.

What do I need to cancel due to dual insurance?

To cancel your Marshmallow policy because you’re already covered by another insurer, just send us:

  • A copy of your insurance certificate or policy schedule from your other insurer

  • This must include:

    • Your full name

    • Vehicle registration

    • Date of birth

    • Start and end dates of the other policy

This helps us confirm everything matches.


Can I cancel if both policies are with Marshmallow?

Yes. If you’ve taken out two Marshmallow policies for the same car by mistake, we can cancel the one you no longer want. Just let us know which policy to keep and we’ll do the rest.


What happens after I send my documents?

Once we’ve checked everything and confirmed the dates, we’ll process your cancellation.

If you’re due a refund, we’ll calculate it based on how much of the policy you used. The sooner you cancel, the more you might get back.


What if I’ve submitted my proof but haven’t heard back?

We may need a bit more information before we can cancel your policy. Please make sure you’ve:

  • Sent the right documents

  • Told us which policy you want to keep (if both are with Marshmallow)
